During Search Code procedure, the TV
turned off and I hit the GO button to set it.
But it still doesn’t control my TV.

You may have hit the GO button too late, setting the wrong code.  Run Search Code procedure again, hitting the Go button immediately when the TV turns off.

Also be sure there is clear line-of-sight from The Entertrainer to the front of the TV.
